Cool stuff, 2008-05-04
I didn't understand what the others were saying when they said this product had a "screw top." I thought they meant it was just like a regular water bottle that you had to screw off the cap every time you drank from it and hoped that it didn't fall down the cracks of a sewer or something and then lose it.
Nevertheless, I thought the design was cute and wanted to do my part in being more "green." And after paying $16 for a tiny little water bottle, I didn't want to spend another dime for another top, so I took my chances.
Turns out, the top is like a squirt bottle and you do have to twist it to open (just a half turn to open and close), but it's not another piece that comes off and have to keep track of every time you take a swig. Granted, it is not like a sippy cup so there is still a little bit of drippage if it's on the side, but it's definitely not the waterfall I had envisioned from how others had described it.
Overall, it's cute and I feel good that we are saving on a few disposable water bottles. It would have gotten five stars from me had it been a little cheaper (why does "saving the earth" have to be so expensive???).

Child loves it!, 2008-05-03
My toddler loves his new water bottle. It is perfect and he had no trouble learning to drink from it.

is lining BPA free?, 2008-04-17
Every member of my family has one Sigg bottle. My kids love the designs and I love not going through so many plastic water bottles. Plus my kids get the floride in our tap water, which is pretty tasty, filtered and cheap. But, does anyone know if the lining of the bottle BPA free. After reading about canned goods, including infant formula cans, have BPA in the lining of the cans, I'm not so sure. That is the only reason I gave the product 3 stars, otherwise I love my Sigg bottle.

Durable, keeps beverages cold, 2008-03-27
First off, I'll explain my reasoning behind purchasing this water bottle to clarify its function. My 4-year-old takes a lunch 3x per week to school, and is lactose intolerant. I prefer to have him drink water or Soy milk/Lactose-reduced milk over sugary juice boxes. The first half of the year, I just sent him with store-bought plastic mini-water bottles, which seemed inexpensive at about $2 per 8-pack. However, I wanted to reduce costs, waste, and also be able to send him to school with milk but avoid purchasing those over-priced soy milk boxes.
So the practical conclusion was to purchase him a small water bottle to put in his lunch box. However, I wanted one that would keep his beverage cold (with an ice pack in his lunch), would last long enough to be cost-effective, would not leak, and would stand up to outdoor hikes and banging around in his backpack. So far, this water bottle has met all expectations listed above and then some. The aluminum keeps drinks cold for 3+ hours, even when left out with no ice pack. Further, it is fairly easy to clean; we just hand wash it every night in hot soapy water. The cap comes apart to clean all the nooks-and-crannies as well.
Finally, the cute designs make this an attractive beverage container for even the pickiest of preschoolers. Highly recommended!

Great so far, 2008-03-26
We've only had this bottle for a couple of days but so far my 16 month old loves it! I highly recommend getting the bottle grips though. The bottle gets quite cold when you pour chilled water into it.
UPDATE: my son dropped the bottle and the cap broke. Having trouble finding a replacement cap. The Mud Cap and the ABT Mud Cap don't work with the 0.3L bottle!
