Ok flavor, lots of gas, 2007-05-24
The Lite isn't nearly as good as the regular. But, I feel it is very important to tell you that my husband and I both agree the lite gives you lots of gas! I am not kidding. Try the Carb sense Myoplex-- much better overall.

Shakes are Great! Not the Best Flavor, 2004-07-20
These shakes really stack up well against the competition on both content and flavor. Having fewer carbs and calories and more protein than the majority of the similarly-priced alternatives. My wife and I both agree, however, that this flavor, Chocolate Fudge is not the best of the Myoplex flavors; it may be worst. I even like Strawberry Banana more.
Being the worst of the flavors, in my opinion still does not make it unbearable. After the first couple of sips I can actually get into it and start enjoying it. My wife, on the other hand, can't even tolerate more than one swig.
One of the biggest problems on the chocolate fudge is its thickness. It is so thick that the chocolatish taste is lost until it is a chalky aftertaste. My recommendation is to thin it down just a bit with some skim milk.

Tastes pretty good, 2004-05-03
Started the Body for Life program several weeks ago and have actually enjoyed the shakes. The protein is good quality and it doesn't have as much fat as Slim Fast (it's just a better all around product). My energy level raises a bit and it helps me not overeat at meals.
I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted this particular flavor (which is why I'm bothering to review it) - it is a lot like Vanilla pudding, which I came to really enjoy after a hospital stay a few years back (it was all I could eat). I was disappointed when I tasted Vanilla Creme powder since it is more like cake mix and I am not always in the mood to drink it. I usually drink the French Vanilla RTD (Ready to Drink) product for breakfast and only use the powder infrequently even though the powder is cheaper (unless you can stock up when you find this on sale, which I did at Fred Meyer yesterday - $4.99!).
UPDATE: I lost 20 lbs in three months after reading the BFL book and changing my diet and exercising every day. I've been able to keep it off for two months without exercise and even with being a little more lax in my diet. I like the balanced approach in BFL. I drink one or two of these shakes a day and it really helps keep me from having low energy or binging on sugar (the Dark Chocolate RTD shakes are great if you crave chocolate).
