 Buyers Beware!!, 2008-02-07
Accelerade was a great product at a great price when they were independently owned. You could purchase their 3.82 pound size(56 servings) product of any flavor for just under $22.00. The company was then purchsed by Cadbury/Schweppes and everything turned for the worse. The greedy new corporate owners jacked up the price to around $35.00 FOR THE EXACT SAME SIZED PRODUCT! There were no improvements or changes made to the original product or packaging, the short-sighted new owners simply decided they needed to be greedy and price gouge the loyal customers who had been purchasing Accelerade for years. Accelerade now comes in new sizes with more up-to-date packaging and also in a ready-to-drink version but the prices remain grossly overinflated....especially for the flavors Orange and Mountain Berry. Just a consumer-friendly note from one of Accelerade's former loyal customers who does not appreciate the senseless price gouging corporate culture that appears to be quite prevalent at the new owners of Accelerade.

 Excellent Recovery Drink, 2007-09-26
I've used this product while hydrating before runs and in greater quantity, for post-workout recovery. The first few times, it hardly made a difference, but after consistent use, I noticed a major change in endurance. The product uses a patented 4:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio which is great because I've experienced kidney pain from overwhelming them with protein before. This drink only has 5 grams of protein per serving.
The taste is great. With only 120 Calories, its not real thick and tastes just like flavored water. The one con of it is when I use it for long runs, the orange food-coloring (?) accumulates on my tongue.
